Resonance marks the World Civic Orchestra’s return to Japan for the first time since 2014, bringing together musicians from around the world for a program of vivid orchestral color, memory, and international exchange. The concert opens with Joe Hisaishi’s DA・MA・SHI・E, followed by the Asia premiere of Robert Sirota’s 212: Symphony No. 1, a work inspired by the spirit and resilience of New York City. Led by Music Director Tomo Matsuo, with guest artists Stefani Matsuo and Hiro Matsuo of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the evening culminates with Rimsky-Korsakov’s dazzling Scheherazade.
